Best friends and cousins Darragh (27) and Alan (26) are on a double blind date at the First Dates restaurant. Darragh’s date, ultra-confident Essex girl Emma (27), is delighted to discover that he’s a doctor who can cook. Meanwhile, lifeguard Jane (22) is ecstatic to find out that her date Alan shares her love of Harry Potter.

When Gemma (41) from Sandymount last entered the restaurant her blind date turned out to be a guy she had dated before. Now she’s back and looking for a proper ‘first date’. Enter another familiar face, former Head 2 Toe presenter and TV producer Pat O’Mahony (56).

Before setting foot inside the restaurant, primary teacher Tom, 27, from Kildare was already catching the eye of his date – former boyband member Dean, 32, while on the Luas on his way to the First Dates Restaurant…
