Don’t Tell the Bride, Episode 4 of 5, RTÉ2, March 12th at 9.30pm
Together five years, David (29) and Conna’s love story began on the other side of the world in New Zealand. At the time David had been travelling and in Wellington on a night out, they ran into one another. For David, it was love at first sight but for Conna (35) it was more like friendship. The couple have now relocated to Belfast where they live happily with their dog Franky.
Both Conna and David love to play pranks on one another and love being silly. But Conna wears the trousers in this relationship. She does all the DIY around the house, anything that needs to be fixed she does it. David and Conna are complete opposites; she loves Roller Derby, tattoos and has a quirky sense of fashion while David loves all things glitter and sparkle – or tack as Conna calls it.
David hasn’t organised much in this relationship so Conna would like this opportunity for David to prove to her that he can do it. He’s googled how to plan a wedding so what could possibly go wrong?
David is hoping to pull out all the stops for a Narnia themed wedding. With a lion, a witch and a wardrobe along with a throne and a pink fire brigade, will David manage to transport Conna to the fantasy land of Narnia or will it all be too much for this bride who dreams of a simple classic wedding.
