Dave Fanning’s Story of Irish Rock

Dave Fanning Image Name: Dave Fanning
The DJ and broadcaster and ultimate fan has been championing new music for the whole of his career. From pirate radio to 2FM, from the Fanning Sessions, to Feile to the Fab 50, from Lark in the Park to Beat on the Street, to his continuing play on radio of new, old, well-known and obscure tunes, Dave remains passionate and ever encyclopaedic about all aspects of rock and pop.

He now tells the story of Irish rock from his perspective, beginning in the late 60s with Van Morrison and Rory Gallagher. Using old interviews and Dave’s own archive, this is a freewheel through the following decades in a subjective journey through the music of this island.
