RTÉ 2fm is set to join forces once again with leading charity St Vincent de Paul for the nation’s biggest ever charity gift campaign. This year it’s the ‘Give a Gift’ campaign in association with Aldi and led by 2fm presenters, including Ryan Tubridy, Bernard O’ Shea, Jennifer Maguire, Nicky Byrne and Jenny Greene, Rick O’Shea, Colm Hayes, Eoghan McDermott, Lottie Ryan to name a few. The Saint Vincent de Paul ‘Give a Gift’ campaign collects gifts each year to distribute to families in need. On Friday 5th December, 2fm will broadcast live from the Benetton window on St. Stephens Green at the top of Grafton Street in Dublin and some of the biggest names in Irish music and entertainment will be popping by to contribute on the day. To support the campaign, listeners can log onto www.svp.ie/appeal, www.rte.ie/2fm or www.aldi.ie and buy a gift in the virtual store. Bernard, Keith and Jen will host ‘Breakfast Republic’, Ryan will host ‘Tubridy’, Nicky and Jenny will host ‘The Nicky Byrne Show with Jenny Greene’, Rick will host ‘Rick in the Afternoon’ and Colm will host ‘Driveby’ live in the window from 6am - 7pm. It’s the first year for the ‘Give a Gift’ campaign for St. Vincent de Paul who will be visiting 140,000 families from now until the end of the year to help them with food, fuel and gifts this Christmas. The Nicky Byrne Show with Jenny Greene has a special show today from 10am-1pm. The duo will be broadcasting live from T2 in Dublin airport and will be there to welcome people home for Christmas. There will be plenty of festive cheer, live music from Springbreak and fantastic giveaways!
