The second episode in Vogue’s new series is Vogue: My Anxious Life

Vogue is no stranger to “crippling anxiety”, which she tries to manage with diet and exercise, but now she’s on a mission to find a cure. Vogue lifts the lid on a silent but growing epidemic that is set to affect 1 in 9 people in Ireland in our lifetime.

While navigating the wide spectrum of anxiety disorders Vogue joins a group of OCD sufferers who are tortured by their intrusive and dangerous thoughts, and a social anxiety support group who are trying to overcome the fear of meeting people in public, a fear that affects 16.8% of our population.

Vogue witnesses the complete debilitating nature of anxiety when she meets Caitriona McMahon who reached the point of suicide when her OCD and agoraphobia took a complete hold of her life, and Linda Perry whose agoraphobia has turned her into a prisoner of her own home.

With over 186k followers on Instagram alone Vogue asks what role social media and the pursuit of perfection has to play in causing anxiety amongst her own generation and she is utterly petrified when she goes to tackle a very common anxiety, her phobia, with modern virtual reality therapy.
