Despite investigating garda Emer Byrne’s suspicion of Sarah, both women continue to press for answers. Emer is convinced Gumbiner-Fischer is hiding something, while Sarah is increasingly driven to discover who is responsible for her husband’s death.

The deeper she digs, the more Emer is certain that something is amiss in Gumbiner-Fischer, and the more she learns about who Lee Manning really was.

Under pressure to stop asking questions about Lee’s death, Sarah is only fueled further to find out who killed her husband. Even when warned she is putting herself in danger, Sarah is undeterred. Especially when an unforeseen encounter proves there was much more to her husband’s work than meets the eye.
