Cuirfear tús le sraith nua den chlár ealaíon An Cheárta, le Cearbhall Ó Síocháin, inniu.  Gach seachtain ar an gclár seo, beidh eolas ag Cearbhall dúinn faoi imeachtaí ealaíon ar fud na tíre, léirmheasanna, súil chun cinn agus neart eile.

Ag ócáid a d’eagraigh An tOireachtas sa Dánlann Náisiúnta le déanaí, bhí an t-aisteoir Diarmuid de Faoite faoi agallamh ag Oifigeach Oideachais na Dánlainne, Caomhán Mac Con Iomaire, faoin bpictiúr cáiliúil ‘Pósadh Strongbow agus Aoife’.  Bhí Bríd Higgins Ní Chinnéide i láthair, agus labharfaidh sí le Cearbhall faoi inniu.  Chomh maith leis sin, beidh agallamh inniu le Tríona Ní Dhuibhir, Ard Bhainisteoir Fhéile Amharclannaíochta BÁC, a bheidh ag tosú ar 28 Meán Fómhair.  Tá an fhéile ag ceiliúradh 60 bliain ar an bhfód i mbliana.

Beidh Conall Ó Riain ag comhrá le Cearbhall faoin seó damhsa ‘The Dust we Raised’ agus beidh Fionn Ó hAlmhain ag insint dúinn faoin opera ‘The Magic Flute’, a chraol Cultural Cinema beo ón Royal Opera, Covent Garden, chuig pictiúrlanna ar fud an domhain tá cúpla seachtainí ó shin.

Today sees the first show in a new series of arts programme An Cheárta, presented by Cearbhall Ó Síocháin.  Every week on the show, Cearbhall brings us information about arts events all over the country, reviews, previews and plenty more.

An tOireachtas recently organised a special event in the National Gallery in Dublin, with actor Diarmuid de Faoite in conversation with Education Officer at the gallery Caomhán Mac Con Iomaire, about the well-know and much-loved painting ‘The Marriage of Strongbow and Aoife’.  Bríd Higgins Ní Chinnéide was at the event, and she will be in studio today with Cearbhall to talk about it.  We’ll also hear an interview with Tríona Ní Dhuibhir, Manager of the Dublin Theatre Festival, which starts on 28 September and celebrates 60 years this year.

Cearbhall will also be joined by Conall Ó Riain to talk about dance show ‘The Dust we Raised’ and Fionn Ó hAlmhain will be in studio to tell us about the opera ‘The Magic Flute’ recently broadcast live across the world from Covent Garden by Cultural Cinema.
