Tá tús curtha le Féile Lorient 2017 le cúpla lá, agus inniu sa chlár faisnéise seo le Cearbhall Ó Síocháin caithfimid súil siar ar fhéile na bliana seo caite.  Cathair amháin, 10 n-oíche, 600,000 Ceilteach.  Tá Festival Interceltique Lorient ar siúl sa Bhriotáin gach samhradh ó 1971 i leith, áit a dtagann pobail na dtíortha Ceilteacha le chéile lena gcultúr a cheiliúradh.  Bíonn slua difriúil ann as Éirinn gach bliain – rinceoirí, ceoltóirí, péintéirí, oidí Gaeilge agus lucht eagraithe, agus sa chlár seo cloisfimid scéal Lorient 2016.  Beidh Cearbhall Ó Síocháin ag tuairisciú gach tráthnóna ar feadh na seachtaine romhainn ó fhéile 2017 ar an gclár Údar Cainte.

The Lorient 2017 Interceltique Festival in Brittany kicked off this weekend, and in this documentary today we hear how Cearbhall Ó Síocháin got on at last year’s festival.  One city, 10 nights, 600,000 Celts.  The Festival Interceltique in Lorient, Brittany, has been running since 1971.  It brings together communities from different Celtic countries to celebrate their respective and shared cultures.  Every year, different groups of Irish artists are invited to take part – dancers, musicians, painters, Irish teachers and the organising committee – and in 2016 Cearbhall Ó Síocháin was invited to join them to report from the festival.  In this programme, we will get to experience Lorient 2016 as he did.  Then, all this week, Cearbhall will be reporting live from the 2017 festival on the programme Údar Cainte each evening.
