Broderick & Broderick is not the law firm but the father and son combination of Steven Broderick and his singer songwriter son Peter. No stranger to Blue, Peter was already a featured artist and in a Blue of the Night session told us that growing up he was influenced by the music his Dad listened to, and occasionally played on guitar at home. This album is the result of Peter’s studio embellishments around home recordings of Steven’s guitar ramblings. The result is the capturing of melodies that were ingrained in Peter’s psyche as a child – with a bonus track featuring vocals by Peter’s sister Heather Woods Broderick. And its feature on Blue is suitably timed in the lead-up to Father’s Day.
