Dramatic Figures for Sunday Night on RTÉ OneÂ
Sunday night drama on RTÉ One delivered a stellar performance as an hour-long Fair City episode was watched by 539,000 (40% share) and much-anticipated new series Redwater debuted with 495,000 (38% share).
In tense scenes in Carrickstown last night, things took a turn for the worst for Emmet (Daithà Mac Suibhne) as he found himself in grave danger at the hands of Ciaran (Johnny Ward). Meanwhile on Redwater, produced by the BBC in association with RTÉ, viewers discovered the identity of Kat Moon’s long-lost son, revealing the first of many secrets the villagers would prefer to leave hidden. The series, also starring Shane Richie, Angeline Ball, Maria Doyle Kennedy, and Fionnula Flanagan, continues for the next five Sunday nights at 9.30pm on RTÉ One.
RTÉ One has even more drama in store in the coming weeks. Paula, a three part thriller written by Conor McPherson starring Denise Gough and Owen McDonnell, and also produced by the BBC in association with RTÉ, debuts on RTÉ One on Wednesday 24 May at 9.35pm.
