Join Chef Adrian on his mission to Eat Ireland with Brand New Series Exclusive to RTÉ Player

Chef Adrian is on a mission!  A mission to teach the good people of Ireland how to cook some of our all time favourite ‘restaurant food’ in an easy and healthy way!  Making his return to RTÉ Player with the brand new series, Chef Adrian Eats Ireland, Chef Adrian recreates and simplifies the nation’s favourite dishes with the help of some quality ingredients and celebrity guests such as Samantha Mumba and PJ Gallagher.  Sponsored by Carr’s, each bite size episode is available to watch anytime, anywhere on RTÉ Player.  Warning!  You will feel hungry!

As a nation of foodies, who better to ask for recommendations than the experts?  Following the success of his pilot episode, Chef Adrian put a shout out to his followers on Facebook, Snapchat and Instagram to get suggestions for some of the best places to eat out in Ireland.  The public answered in their droves to name the restaurants with the best tapas, pizza, chicken wings, chicken burger and ice cream. The restaurants voted for their top nosh and who feature in the series are:

Best Chicken Burger – KC & Son & Sons in Cork

Best Tapas – Casa Tapas Bar & Grill in Wicklow

Best Pizza – Dough Bros. Wood Fire Pizza in Galway

Best Chicken Wings – Elephant & Castle in Dublin

Best Ice Cream – Mammy Johnston’s in Sligo

Recreating each dish in his outdoor kitchen in front of an audience, Chef Adrian is joined by a host of celebrity guests. Get ready for some food, fun and faux pas as the celebrities try to multitask with Chef Adrian.

Discover how to recreate the best burger the country has to offer from KC & Son & Sons in Cork while the handsome Maitre D’, Mateo Saina, from First Dates Ireland lends some dating advice “Don’t use chat-up lines.  They sound creepy”.  Got it.  Thanks Mateo!  http://bit.ly/ChefAdrian-Burger

The much debated topic of the origins of the Spice Bag finally gets put to rest as RTÉ Radio 1 reporter Liam Geraghty investigates.  Chef Adrian then replicates his favourite takeaway dish of all time with his own healthy version and the help of comedian, PJ Gallagher.  This dish could go either way seeing as PJ has never had a Spice Bag.  Ever.  Watch as PJ hones his salt sprinkling skills, gets an ‘under the counter’ pep talk from Chef Adrian and questions whether or not he can be called a ‘celebrity’ if he still gets the bus into town! http://bit.ly/ChefAdrian-SpiceBag

What’s dinner without a dessert?  Samantha Mumba lends a hand as Chef Adrian reproduces the ice cream voted the best in Ireland from Mammy Johnston’s in Strandhill, Sligo.  A dab hand at strawberry slicing, Samantha instigates an eye-roll from Chef Adrian with a blender blunder and goes a little OTT with the chocolate sprinkles.  http://bit.ly/ChefAdrian-IceCream

Revisit the BBQ Balcony where Chef Adrian is joined by guest Keith Walsh from 2FM’s Breakfast Republic, a self confessed lover of chicken wings, to show the hungry crowd how to make his own version of Temple Bar’s Elephant & Castle’s infamous chicken wings.
