Tonight on The Late Late Show host Ryan Tubridy will hand over a cheque for €50,063 to the St Vincent de Paul – profits from sales of the double album ‘As Seen on the Late Late Show’ released in November last year.

Ryan Tubridy said: “What a tremendous result. I am delighted to see that people really got behind this album and lent their support to what is a very worthy cause. I know that the St Vincent de Paul will put this money to good use and, hopefully, it will help them to continue with their brilliant work.”

All of the artists and record labels involved joined RTÉ in donating all profits to the St Vincent de Paul.

The Society of St Vincent de Paul (SVP) Incoming National President Kieran Stafford said: “All of us in SVP are extremely grateful to everyone involved in this project – The Late Late Show music supervisor Dermot McEvoy, presenter Ryan Tubridy, and their team;  the producers and presenters across RTE; the musicians and artists who contributed their considerable talent; Universal Music Ireland, and in particular the Irish public who made the CD such a success and in the process raised so much for the SVP’s work. The funds raised will be used throughout the year for the benefit of those in Irish society who continue to struggle from day to day and will make a real difference to the many families who continue to need support.”

‘As Seen on The Late Late Show’, a double album featuring exclusive live recordings from the show and tracks by world famous artists who have appeared on the programme down through the years, was released in November last year. The album features live performances by some of the biggest names in Irish music including Christy Moore, Imelda May and Damien Rice as well as a very special, once-in-a-lifetime recording of the stars of Irish country music performing Big Tom’s ‘Four Country Roads’. The album also featured tracks from worldwide superstars including U2, Michael Bublé, Ed Sheeran and One Direction.

The album was produced by The Late Late Show music supervisor Dermot McEvoy with the help of Universal Music Ireland.

Mark Crossingham, managing director of Universal Music Ireland said: “I’d like to thank all the artists that agreed to be on the album and everyone who was involved in making it happen. I’m delighted that it raised such a huge amount of money.”

‘As Seen on The Late Late Show’ is still on sale in shops nationwide, with future profits continuing to benefit the SVP. It can also be downloaded here: http://apple.co/2gBPHj1
