Hollywood A-Lister Eric Bana Heads Up Late Late Line-Up

Hollywood A-lister Eric Bana joins Ryan Tubridy on The Late Late Show on RTÉ One tomorrow night.

The Australian actor will be in studio to chat about working with Irish director Jim Sheridan on his upcoming movie The Secret Scripture. He’ll be filling viewers in on making it onto the Hollywood A-list with starring roles in Hulk, Munich and The Time Traveller’s Wife having started out as a comedian and chatshow host on Australian television.

The Saturdays’ Una Healy is striking out on her own, returning to her country roots with her solo material. Ryan will be catching up with the Tipperary native as she takes her career in a whole new direction. She’ll also be performing her latest single.

Fr Brian D’Arcy will join Ryan to reflect on his time as one of Ireland’s most famous priests, his clashes with the Vatican and where he is headed next as he nears retirement. He will also be telling viewers why he believes the Church remains entirely out of kilter with ordinary people and why he sees Irish politics heading down the same road.

In a week of extreme turbulence in Irish politics, commentator Olivia O’Leary will give her take on the turmoil engulfing Leinster House and take stock of where the country is at as Brexit looms and the Trump presidency continues to make waves.

Recent RTÉ Investigates documentary Living on the List shocked the nation with stories of people left waiting for years for treatment. While many of the people featured have since gone on to have their surgery, Late Late viewers will meet Megan Halvey-Ryan, a 13-year-old in severe pain from scoliosis and still waiting to get the help she needs despite being diagnosed more than two years ago.

Gavan Hennigan recently made history when he became one of the few people to row solo across the Atlantic, setting a new Irish record and becoming the fastest solo competitor in the history of the Talisker Whisky Atlantic Challenge. Gavan will be in studio to talk about overcoming addiction and struggles with his sexuality to completely transforming his life to become an extreme adventurer. And he will exclusively reveal his next adventure.

Plus music from country favourite Mike Denver.

Only on The Late Late Show Friday, RTÉ One at 9.35pm
