‘Butcher’s Dozen’ by Thomas Kinsella
Forty-five years after the Bloody Sunday massacre in Derry on 30th January 1972, Thomas Kinsella introduces and reads his poem, ‘Butcher’s Dozen’. The poem uses the old poetic form of the aisling to respond to the findings of the Widgery Report, and is read in memory of those who lost their lives on Bloody Sunday.

In The Wings – Our Table
A companion programme to ‘Flight Risk’ on food, activism and the Direct Provision system. In this special edition of ‘In The Wings’, co-founders Ellie Kisyombe and Michelle Darmody remember some of the highlights in recent history of their project, ‘Our Table’. The project began just over a year ago , inviting residents of Direct Provision to cook together, support one another and in so doing, to create a forum for the public to learn about the issue of Direct Provision. Most recently the group established a pop-café in Project Arts Centre in the winter months of 2016. The programme follows the pop-up cafe from its first press launch with Stephen Rea to a Christmas party with over 150 children from Direct Provision centres in Dublin.
