Series 2, episode 4 “Line dancing”

Line dancing is the older more mature sibling of the ‘hucklebuck’. With the new country music revival, line dancing is now a common spectacle on the dance floors of Ireland once again. At competition level line dancing is a serious business. Here we follow some of Ireland’s top line dancers to the biggest competitions home and away. With any amount of side stepping, Stetsons and Americana – we enter the sparkly world of competitive line dancing from the rehearsals to the glitz and glamour of the competition finals. Stetsons and Stilettos returns for a second series to RTÉ One

The country music phenomenon sweeping Ireland is showing no signs of slowing down. From Coleraine to Cork, Kilkenny to Coalisland dance halls are packed with fans who just can’t get enough of that ‘Country ‘n’ Irish sound.’

In this six-part series of Stetsons and Stilettos we’ve been on the country roads again criss- crossing Ireland and beyond for a summer with the fans for whom ‘Keepin ‘er Country’ is a way of life.

From treading the boards at the jiving juniors summer camp to packing our bags for some Irish country on the Costa – this music driven series is sure to have you singing in sitting room and line dancing in the kitchen.
