The Taste of Success, sponsored by Lidl Ireland, is back for a third series starting on RTÉ One on Tuesday, October 25th at 8.30pm with a fresh batch of budding food entrepreneurs cooking their hearts out as they battle to get their oven mitts on one of the biggest prizes in Irish television.

With a prize pot worth €100,000 up for grabs and the chance to see their product on the shelves of more than 140 Lidl stores nationwide, the competition has never been tougher.

This year two new faces will be mentoring foodies from Leinster and Munster toward culinary glory.

In Leinster, ‘Natural Born Feeder’ Roz Purcell will take on the challenge of helping her chosen winners hone their dishes as they seek to impress the Lidl judges in the hopes of winning the big prize.

Purcell is a food fanatic and author of best-selling cookbook ‘Natural Born Feeder’. Her approach to cooking is simple: use whole foods to live a whole life. She uses her passion for food to develop tasty recipes that fuel the body, providing the energy and vitality needed to look and feel great.

Roz Purcell said: “I had an amazing time meeting the foodies who made it through to the Leinster round and I found it hard to choose which products should go forward, the quality was so high. But I found my two favourites and I’m confident they have what it takes to win”.

In Munster, caterer to the stars Eunice Power will be guiding her chosen contestants through the process, helping them to tweak their idea to make the biggest impact on the Lidl judges.

Power has garnered a reputation for being the best gourmet caterer in the country. Based in Dungarvan in Waterford, Eunice has operated her extremely successful catering business for over 15 years and includes the 3 Arena as one of her many clients. She has catered for all the top names both domestically and internationally.

Eunice Power said: “Joining The Taste of Success family has been a real eye-opener. I was excited to see the quality and variety of dishes being produced by the contestants in the Munster round – they really made it difficult for me but we found two cracking dishes that will really put it up to the rest of the competition”.

The Taste of Success is returning for a third series, searching for another food entrepreneur with an idea that has the potential to win them that life altering prize. The contestants must first impress their mentors to make it through at pop-up food fairs in Cobh, Dun Laoghaire, Kilkenny and Westport.

Roz and Eunice will be joined by returning mentors: Itsa founder Domini Kemp and, last year’s winning mentor, Michelin starred chef JP McMahon with host Dáithí Ó Sé back to oversee proceedings.

As ever the mentors will select their favourite dishes to progress through to the final rounds with the winner chosen by the Lidl judges and chef Paul Flynn.

Hoping for a third-time-lucky victory Domini Kemp said: “The standard gets higher and higher every year. I’ve seen some really mouth watering dishes this time around. The competition is really tough but I am confident that the Dublin region has what it takes to win!”

The Taste of Success returns to RTÉ One on Tuesday, October 25th at 8.30pm
