Thank GAA It’s Friday says believe the hype as we look ahead to the 2016 All Ireland Football Final. Episode 13, the last in the series, comes to you on Friday, September 16th on RTÉ 2 at 7pm as Sam Maguire choses his winter residence.

The show’s creators bring you the complete weekly GAA package; containing characters,
games, fascinating stories and communities both at home and abroad.

The sun may rise in the east, but out west there have been many false dawns. Mayo’s veteran forward, Andy Moran, looks back on previous heartaches and how he hopes they will drive him on to finally break the curse.

We ask what makes Dublin manager Jim Gavin tick? Former Dublin boss Tommy Lyons, fellow military man Dermot Earley , former Mayo boss James Horan and Malachy Clerkin of The Irish Times try to decode the
Dub’s boss.

There has always been pressure on the last man standing, but nowadays the goalkeeper is under even greater scrutiny. We are joined by some members of the union Tipp’s
Evan Comerford, Armagh All Ireland winner Benny Tierney and Roscommon’s Shane Curran who look ahead to Cluxton versus Clarke and everything else that comes with the number one jersey.

In 2013 when Dublin v Mayo last caused a ticket frenzy one man decided to take drastic action and became The Blue Hulk. We follow Dubs fan Shane Peppard as he paints the town, and himself, blue!

GAA journalists The Irish Examiner’s Michael Moynihan, Fintan O’Toole of the42.ie and The Star’s Karl O’Kane are all making their calls on the big day.

So join us on Friday 16th September at 7pm on RTÉ 2 for another action packed show. The show will be repeated at the weekend before The Sunday Game Live on RTÉ ONE.
