RTÉ One is to mark the Muslim holy month of Ramadan with a series of weekly, high profile Ramadan Diaries, in which, just before the 6.01 News, four Muslims living in Ireland share their stories and their faith in a series of short films.

Smuggled out of Bosnia during the worst of the Balkans conflict, Fardus Sultan has been in Ireland for the last 20 years. Married with a son, she runs her own business, but also works with the charity, Human Appeal, helping those who are suffering as she once did. For her, Ramadan is all about faith, fasting and fellowship.
