Cearnóga Seoirseacha na hardchathrach a bhíonn faoi chaibidil sa tsraith seo ag Máiréad Uí Dhomhnaill agus a cuid aíonna, agus inniu beidh sí i bhFaiche Stiabhna i gcroílár na cathrach.  Tá tábhacht faoi leith leis an suíomh seo, tá sé buailte ar cheantair ghnó, thráchtála, chultúrtha agus siamsaíochta Bhaile Átha Cliath, agus níl sé ach cúpla nóiméad siúil ó Dháil Éireann, ón Leabharlann Náisiúnta agus ón Iarsmalann Náisiúnta.   Ba é Arthur Guinness a thóg an Fhaiche do mhuintir na cathrach sa bhliain 1880.  Sa chlár seo inniu, cloisfimid faoi stair Fhaiche Stiabhna agus faoina bhfuil  beartaithe dó amach anseo.

The Georgian Squares of Dublin are the focus of this series, presented and produced by Máiréad Uí Dhomhnaill.  Today, she heads for St. Stephen’s Green in the heart of the capital. This location is of particular importance, situated beside business, commercial, cultural and entertainment areas of the city, and just a few minutes’ walk from the Dáil, the National Library and the National Museum.  Arthur Guinness built this square for the people of Dublin in 1880.  In the programme today, Máiréad and her guests will take us through the history of St. Stephen’s Green, and what is planned for its future development.
