Cheaters is a four-part legal drama starring Amy Huberman as Tara (The Clinic, Moone Boy), a solicitor who sets up her own legal practice after catching her soon-to-be husband and workmate Eric, played by Rory Keenan (War & Peace, Peaky Blinders), playing away.
The series is created by James Phelan (Wrecking the Rising), and written by Rob Heyland (Between the Lines, Whistleblowers), Mike O’Leary (Eipic, Misfits) and James Phelan. Cheaters will be directed by Lisa James Larsson (NBC’s Welcome to Sweden).
Cheaters is produced for RTÉ by Katie Holly and Yvonne Donohoe of Blinder Films (Love & Friendship, The Queen of Ireland) with international co-financing from DCD Rights and Acorn Media Enterprises.
Jane Gogan, Head of Drama, RTÉ Television said: “Cheaters is a series that reflects a modern world and stories of family and emotional relationships – the flux, the chaos and the ridiculous – and how such stories end up in the legal system. This is a good time to explore this subject but, then, when isn’t?”

We are actively working with international partners to deliver more world class Irish drama to Irish audiences and Cheaters is the first of a number of dramas commissioned by RTÉ which will be announced in the coming weeks”.
Cheaters producer Yvonne Donohoe said: “Cheaters is new legal drama series which explores modern love, relationships and life in Ireland. Our writers have created an entertaining and provocative series packed with warmth, humanity and emotional complexity.”
