Pet Island is an entertaining series about people who are taking pet ownership to another level. Filmed on location throughout Ireland, this endearing series features a cast of quirky characters and explores their love for ferrets, budgies, raccoons, alligators and of course cats and dogs. Pet Island is packed with laugh out loud moments which will have chins and tails wagging throughout the country.

Pet Island regulars Martin Bailey and Jennifer Duggan revisit Bray where they got engaged sixteen years ago. There, the presence of Old English Sheep Dogs Guapo and Theron causes hysteria amongst a group of Spanish tourists. Later we learn about Martin and Jennifer’s modelling background and follow them to a special photo shoot with the dogs.
At Holly’s Horse Haven in County Louth a special visitor is preparing to speak to the animals. Lyn Furlong is an animal communicator who claims that animals speak to us by projecting pictures, words and sensations onto our minds.
We also visit The Nuthouse Hen Sanctuary in County Down where we meet Mama Hen, formerly Barbara Mladek, a bank worker who gave up her job in order to rescue and care for hens. Finally we meet a woman in Dublin with over 90 snakes.
