CAKE – Culture and Arts for Kids and Everyone
A new 10 part Arts series hosted by Abie Bowman commencing on October 18th at 11am. This series will explore and reflect the range of cultural activity and expression available to children and their families and guardians. Regular items will include creative challenges eg. Julie Feeney and a youngster will collaborate to compose a song, Rasher will create a painting on the theme of motion and travel with a child, and lined up to take on the challenge aswell are Irish composer and Golden Globe nominee Brian Byrne , poetry lover Rick O’Shea and wordsmith Ryan Tubridy among others.
We will be exploring activities such as bell-ringing in St.Patricks Cathedral, Dublin, creating sound art in the Zoo, delving into the world of global music with Carl Corcoran and visiting inspirational and awesome locations such as St Brigit’s Celtic Garden, Rosscahill, Co.Galway, the Natural History Museum, Dublin and the sound studio in Ardmore Studios, Co.Wicklow.
