Aedín features music from Carousel the second musical by Rodgers and Hammerstein which continued the success that the partnership had with their debut Oklahoma. Richard Rodgers who was responsible for the music considered Carousel to be the best of all his musicals. Music also from films starring Deborah Kerr including From Here to Eternity and An Affair to Remember.
