GAA All-Ireland Football Final is most-watched show on Irish television so far this year as over one million viewers tune in to live match on RTÉ2
An average of 875,300* people tuned into RTÉ2’s live coverage of yesterday’s GAA All-Ireland Football Final between Dublin and Kerry, making it the most-watched programme on Irish television so far this year. The audience tuning in to watch yesterday’s match live on RTÉ2 peaked at 1.08 million as the match reached its climax.
The coverage of the All-Ireland Football Final between Dublin and Kerry attracted 49,100 more viewers than 2014’s All-Ireland Football Final between Kerry and Donegal.
Year-on-year, the average audience for all Football matches in the GAA All-Ireland Football Championship was up 4% or 14,700 viewers.
Additionally there were 56,911 live streams of the match on RTÉ Player**, which is 15,000 more live streams than the 2014 All-Ireland Football Final.
