Craolfar an clár uair a chloig níos luaithe ná mar is gnáth inniu ó Ard Oifig an Phoist i gcroílár Shráid Uí Chonaill i mBaile Átha Cliath mar chuid de chomóradh 1916 RTÉ – I dTreo na Saoirse.  Pléifear oidhreacht an Éirí Amach in Éirinn sa lá atá inniu ann, chomh maith le tábhacht na Gaeilge i 1916 agus anois.  Ar na haíonna a bheidh ar an gclár inniu, beidh Éamon Ó Cuív TD agus Regina Uí Chollatáin.  Beidh imeachtaí go leor ar siúl ar Shráid Uí Chonaill mar chuid de chomóradh an lae – turais, léachtaí, imeachtaí teaghlaigh, ceol agus drámaí, chomh maith le cláracha raidió agus craoladh teilifíse.

The programme today will be broadcast live from the GPO on O’Connell Street in Dublin as part of the RTÉ commemoration of 1916, Road to the Rising.  Cormac Ó hEadhra presents this special edition of the show, an hour earlier than normal, focusing on the heritage of the Easter Rising in today’s Ireland, and the importance of the Irish language in 1916 and now. Guests on the show will include Éamon Ó Cuív, TD, and Regina Uí Chollatáin.  The programme will be one of a number of events taking place in O’Connell Street today, including lectures, drama, music, family events, and other live broadcasts.
