The Irish World Academy of Music and Dance recently celebrated its 20th anniversary, and marked the occasion with a weekend of seminars, workshops, and performances. Convocation 20 brought together luminaries from the academic and performing worlds, writer Joseph O’Connor, dancer and choreographer Colin Dunne, composer and activist Nigel Osborne, and many more, all giving their thoughts on music, art, life, education, and fun. Ellen Cranitch goes behind the scenes to capture the birthday celebrations of this remarkable institution.
