Another chance to hear talented young musicians on stage at the gala concert of Limerick summer school Meitheal.

This evening, listeners will get another chance to hear the finale concert of the Meitheal summer school, recorded live in Limerick in July.  The Meitheal Summer School is run by Garry Shannon, and was established over 10 years ago for advanced level teenage traditional musicians.  It’s a week of total immersion, which includes masterclasses, as well as workshops in composition and musical arrangement.  In the concert this evening we will hear students, as well as some of their tutors, as they performed in the finale concert of the school.  Tutors included Colm Gannon, Caitlín Nic Gabhann, Cormac Begley and Karen Tweed.  Neansaí Ní Choisdealbha presents.
