RTÉ One TV Highlights, Wednesday 7th January

The Highlights are:

  • Fair City was the most watched soap in Ireland last night with an average audience*  of 569,000 (36%) Irish soap fans tuning in to watch last night’s episode. Fair City had a reach** audience of 735,700 while an additional 31,400 TV viewers watched the episode on RTÉ One+1. 10,057 caught up on the Carrigstown action on RTÉ Player. Fair City was also the second most watched programme among 15 – 34s (24%) after Operation Transformation.

 

  • RTÉ One had 7 of the Top 10 most watched programmes on Irish television last night delivering a peak time share of 30% of all adults.

 

  • The two most-watched programmes on Irish television last night were RTÉ’s news bulletins, with 574,700 and 572,200 tuning in to watch RTÉ One’s Six-One and Nine O’Clock news bulletins respectively.

 

  • The return of Operation Transformation drew an average of 465,300 viewers (26.4% share) with 722,600 viewers tuning in over the course of the show. It was also the No.1 programme for 15 – 34s and for housekeepers. An additional 35,600 watched the first episode on RTÉ One+1, while 7,083 caught up on the first episode on RTÉ Player.
