The Crash
This compelling two-part drama tells the story of a real life crash involving young people in the prime of their lives, school leavers with bright futures ahead of them. We reveal the chain of events that led to those people, on that day, having a crash. The story begins a year before the crash when we meet the main characters, young people with life’s endless possibilities ahead of them and continues through to the day of the crash. You will revisit the horror of the accident and the frenzied activity in the immediate aftermath as paramedics try to save them while relatives wait, desperate to know who has survived. Twelve months later we meet up with the survivors and their loved ones as they try to rebuild their lives and come to terms with their loss. We see how the crash resonates through a community as survivors return to school, families fall apart and friends struggle to make sense of what happened.
