NOVA

Therese-Fahy Image Name: Therese-Fahy

Presented by Bernard Clarke, Nova is about new music, a blend of contemporary classical, electronic, experimental and more. For a professional pianist, Thérèse Fahy has small hands so she came up with the idea of commissioning the Handprint series of new compositions especially suited to her playing from six Irish composers. Premiered in at the Hugh Lane Gallery earlier in the year, she recorded the works for Nova in September. Guitarist Ben Dwyer wrote Étude for Thérèse to perform based on his research into the music of Ligeti.  Hear it tonight.
