New RTÉ One Drama ‘Clean Break’ Goes Into Production

RTÉ One has announced that production has begun this week on a brand new four-part drama, Clean Break (working title).  Produced for RTÉ by Octagon Films and 152 Productions and co-funded by the Broadcasting Authority of Ireland with the Television Licence Fee, Clean Break, set in Wexford, tells the tale of a community driven by love, greed, status and revenge.

Clean Break is a stand alone original serial written by acclaimed writer Billy Roche (‘The Eclipse) and directed by Gillies MacKinnon (‘Behind the Lines’) and Damien O’Donnell (‘East is East’).

The cast includes Adam Fergus (Frank Mallon), Aidan McArdle (Desmond Rane), Simone Kirby (Annette Rane), Damien Molony (Danny Quinn), Kelly Thornton (Corrina Mallon) and Ned Dennehy (Noel Blake).

Broadcast details will be announced closer to transmission date.
