Series Synopsis:
Eight young Irish & Australian marine animal enthusiasts embark on a gruelling six-week training mission to become dolphin and seal trainers, working with rescued marine animals, taking part in daring marine animal rescues and even helping out with the birth of a baby dolphin. 6 weeks, 1 mission…an epic adventure!

Synopsis:
Bonding, trust and respect with animals are the focus of training today and the Rookies get to organise playtime with the seals and dolphins with the help of some super cool ‘enrichment’ toys. A new makeover challenge is unveiled as the Rookies are set that task to overhaul the rather drab Solitary Reel Pool exhibit. Rocky, the alpha male seal surprises the Rookies with some unexpected behavior as they try to keep control of their conservation show rehearsal. D
reams come true as the Rookies get to swim with two of the park’s stars – dolphins Bella and Jet. On a well earned break from park duties the team is introduced to two great Australian themes – surfing and spiders, much to the horror of arachnophobe Sophie. Turtle duo Jaymin and Dana lend a helping hand at a an autopsy alongside park vet Dr Duan and the real dolphin training begins with old hand Zippy and new blood Jet.
The Rookies face the intimidating marine park board to present their plans and designs for the new penguin and the team dress for the occasion Blue Zoo style! Back home at the beach lodge, a surprise package has the Rookies laughing and crying with personal messages from home. 8 Rookies, 6 weeks, 1 mission. This is Blue Zoo.
