Nora agus Dora is a 10-part bilingual educational series aimed at children aged 3-7 years.
Hannah Masterson and her mum Louise present and play the characters of Nora agus Dora. Nora agus Dora are best friends but polar opposites. Dora is accident prone and often doesn’t get things while Nora is very organised and neat. It is Nora who teaches Dora all about the various topics.
Hannah came up with the concept as she has many friends who are primary school teachers who told her how they wished they had something innovative using the Irish language that they could use in the classroom. Hannah has previously spent time as a secondary school music and Irish teacher and runs Junior Musicals Theatre School at the weekends. So, with her subjects and experience combined, she decided to come up with a new radio series which would help children improve their Irish. It can be used both at home or in the classroom and it is a fun entertaining way to learn Irish and participate in songs based on topics learned at primary level.
