Who are the writers who represent the young voices of Ireland? Join RTÉ presenter Sean Rocks in a live Arena broadcast as he leads an evening of music and conversation with some of today’s emerging writers and poets. Come hear Sarah Griffin, poet and author of her forthcoming memoir Not Lost; Colin Barrett reading from his debut collection of stories, Young Skins (Stinging Fly); playwright and performer Shaun Dunne; editor of wordlegs.com and Irish representative in International PEN’s New Voices Award, Elizabeth Reapy and comedian and writer-in-residence for Inchicore College Lucy Montague-Moffatt, who will both be reading from 30 under 30 (Doire Press), a collection of stories by Irish authors under the age of thirty. Also performing on the night are Broken Song’s GI and Costello, street poets, hip-hop artists and songwriters from north Dublin. Broken Song premiered at the Jameson Dublin International Film Festival in 2013 where it won the Audience Award and the Dublin Critics Circle ‘Discovery’ Award.
