For the past year, State Emergency Services and volunteer groups have been filming with RTÉ to capture rescues and tragedies as they unfold. With no second chances, this small and efficient band of professionals and volunteers often put themselves in danger for the lives of others. Capturing real rescues as they happen, this series was filmed using hundreds of small portable cameras.
For the first time ever, the series follows the Rapid Response Doctors who bring emergency medicine to the roadside. The result is a unique insight into an intimate and high octane world, where training, the human spirit and bravery triumph over adversity.
The series will feature amazing rescues from the RNLI, The Irish Coast Guard, Mountain Rescue Teams, The Rapid Response Doctors and the Cork City Fire Brigade as well as the work of Irish rescue workers in America and Australia.
Episode Two:
Presented by Blathnaid NI Chofaigh.
