EPISODE 4
Dano parks his car and approaches a waiting Range Rover.
DANO
How are you Michelle?
MICHELLE
What about you Daniel? How’s everything? How’s your Mammy?
DANO
Ah she’s not too bad – she has her good days and her bad days you know
MICHELLE
And the kids are growing up aren’t they?
DANO
Ah yeah
MICHELLE
You’re looking well anyway
DANO
Ah I’m off the sauce you know
MICHELLE
Hop in so and I’ll fill you in.
Meanwhile Nidge is in a car with Tony and driver. Nidge is taken to a shed. Viewers don’t know if Dano is being driven to where Nidge is. Tension builds.
Later…
Dano travelling in the back of the jeep. There’s a driver and Michelle is in the front passenger seat.
MICHELLE
I disagreed with this taking money from these people from day one Dano – I’ve never been comfortable with it.
Dano nods
MICHELLE
It leaves a bad taste you know
DANO
That’s what I said to Tony. So is he definitely getting it.
DANO
Well Tony’s bullin’ about it but – I want what you want.
Dano smiles.
An anxious Nidge is in a shed sitting at a white plastic patio table. The door opens. Viewers won’t know whether to expect Dano or Tony. Tony walks in. He tells Nidge that he’ll want some of the Tiger kidnapping money and assures Nidge that Dano was doing a solo run.
A country road. Middle of nowhere. Dano, Michelle and driver set out across a field.
Suddenly a shot. The driver has shot Dano in both knees. He goes down. He can’t understand. Michelle looks at him – hard now.
MICHELLE
The movement doesn’t need riff raff like you.
The driver takes Dano’s mobile phone from his pocket and he and Michelle walk away.
Dano attempts to drag himself across the field. Time passes. We see other scenes in the montage with other characters. Back to Dano – manages to pull himself up against a fallen tree trunk so that he dies in a semi upright position rather than in the mud and grass.
Death scene is to Sinead O’ Connor’s “This is a Rebel Song”

MONDAY OCTOBER 28TH
THESES IMAGES OF DANO’S DEATH, LIZZIE, THE ROAD RAGE INCIDENT AND ARREST CANNOT APPEAR IN PRINT, ONLINE OR ON SOCIAL MEDIA UNTIL MONDAY OCTOBER 28th 2013.
Episode 4 Synopsis
Dano increases pressure on Lizzie to carry out the hit on Nidge, and their target narrowly avoids death as she and Wayne break into his house. Lizzie is arrested in a road rage incident and is put away, but a furious Nidge has Wayne kidnapped and brought to an abandoned flat where they intend to torture him into admitting who put the contract out. However the operation is rushed and they are all arrested. Wayne, however, denies to the police that he has been kidnapped – he’s not a rat – and they are all released. Nidge is impressed by the teenager’s courage and considers the debt repaid, telling Wayne he could use him on jobs in the future.
Meanwhile Fran is working with Andrew prepping for a dummy run, bringing in a shipment of lidocaine – anaesthetic used in dentistry, but also a mixing agent for drugs. Fran however is still angry about his teeth and plans a gruesome revenge on Noely.
The police are closer on the trail than Nidge imagines. Moynihan’s team gets a bug into Nidge’s car and they overhear a conversation about a dentist; the description tallies with information given to them by a disgruntled ex-employee of Andrew’s. They set up an observation post in a building opposite the industrial unit that houses Andrew’s ailing dental supplies business, and break in to install bugs and cameras. The next morning the shipment of lidocaine is brought into the warehouse and the cops record all the gang, along with Andrew, unloading the van and unpacking the lido. Nidge declares himself satisfied that the dummy run has been a success, and is convinced that the cops are not onto them… unaware that only yards away Moynihan and his team are recording every word he says..
ANY PUBLICATION OR OUTLET WHO BREAKS THE EMBARGO ON PHOTOGRAPHS OR INFORMATION WILL BE PENALISED AND WON’T HAVE ACCESS TO LOVE/HATE INTERVIEWS AND MATERIALS FOR THE REMAINDER OF THE SERIES.
