Proinsias Ó Conluain (1919 – 2013) passed away on 30th May 2013.
He was a broadcaster in Raidió Éireann and later RTÉ Radio for 36 years up to 1983, during which he made many programmes on various subjects including traditional music and song, the Gaeltacht and the Irish language.
In this week’s Rolling Wave, Peter Browne is joined by Cathal Goan to talk about Proinsias’ career and hear samples of some of the recordings he made during his long years as a programme-maker in RTÉ.
