CHAMPIONSHIP MATTERS – Thursday 27 June at 7.00pm on RTÉ Two
A bunch of qualifiers, some really interesting provincial football semi finals and one tasty hurling replay
between between Dublin & Kilkenny; it all adds up to 15 matches this weekend in the hunt for the Liam
and Sam. FIFTEEN!!! No shortage of things to talk about on the show this week so!
Marty Morrissey will be joined in studio by double All Ireland winner from Down, Conor Deegan and
Dublin’s Colie Moran, as well as the Sports Journalist of the Year, Ewan McKenna. The lads will have
the crystal ball out to try and predict the pick of the weekend’s games and they have a few bones to pick
as well.
Among them, should the Dubs be allowed to play all of their Leinster Football Championship games in
Croke Park? Michael Foley of The Sunday Times doesn’t think so he will be outlining why. The lads
will also be discussing the merits or otherwise of playing a championship match on a Friday, as is the
case with the clash of Carlow and Laois this week.
On top of all that, Louth’s Shane Lennon is next up The Hot Seat Quiz before his side take on Antrim on
Saturday.
