Episode 9- Junior Dragons’ Den
Ireland’s Junior Dragons’ Den makes its long anticipated global debut this week. This week the Dragons come face-to-face with the best business ideas from young Irish men and women aged between 12 and 18 years old.
Over 450 applicants from all across the island entered the competition to bring their ideas into the den. A series of regional heats held by the Bank of Ireland culminated last December with young people behind the top 100 ideas gathering in Dublin for the national finals: with the best twenty winning the chance to pitch their business ideas to the Dragons over the next two episodes.
The only difference is that the Junior entrepreneurs are not looking for investment – they are each pitching to secure a single €2,000 bursary and they only need one Dragon to award it. But our Dragons are still playing by their rules: they’ll only back the best ideas, from the best people, with the best potential… there’s no such thing as a gentle dragon in this Den.
