Katheryn Williams bring us this week’s Five-Track Shuffle. She released her first album, Dog Leap Stairs on her own Caw Records label in 1999 with a budget of £80. The follow-up, Little Black Numbers, garnered a Mercury Prize nomination.
With The Pond, Williams teamed up with fellow musicians, Simon Edwards and Ginny Clee for an album project – more Gorillaz than Guthrie – that will take many by surprise. Their self-titled debut is released in May last year.
