RTÉ Sport will broadcast comprehensive coverage of this year’s RBS 6 Nations with all 15 RBS 6 Nations matches available in HD.

RTÉ brings fans all the action as Ireland’s 2013 RBS 6 Nations campaign features home fixtures against England and France in the Aviva Stadium while the team plays away to Wales, Italy and Scotland. RTÉ Sport continues to deliver the widest and best coverage of the most highly anticipated and most-watched rugby tournament in Ireland.

RTÉ Sport will deliver extensive coverage of RBS 6 Nations 2013 including:

  • All 15 matches across the five weekends of the tournament broadcast live on RTÉ Two television and on RTÉ Two HD
  • All of Ireland’s matches broadcast live on RTÉ Radio 1, FM, LW, DAB and online.
  • All 15 matches will be streamed live on RTÉ.ie within the island of Ireland and on mobile via the RTÉ Player app

RTÉ’s unrivalled team of presenters and panellists will be providing their expert analysis and opinion at every stage of the tournament.  On RTÉ Two television, anchorman Tom McGurk will be joined by Conor O’Shea, Shane Horgan, Donal Lenihan, George Hook, Brent Pope and we welcome back world cup winner Ben Kay for the England clash. Clare MacNamara will be reporting from the Irish camp while the commentary team of Ryle Nugent, Tony Ward, George Hamilton, Hugh Cahill, Ralph Keyes and Frankie Sheahan bring you all the action on the field.

Joanne Cantwell returns each Monday with a brand new series of Against the Head, where she will be joined by regular panellists Frankie Sheahan, Victor Costello, Alan Quinlan, Bernard Jackman and others for a lively mix of interviews, news, analysis and discussion.

Further to the RTÉ Television’s extensive live coverage of the tournament, there will also be live coverage of Ireland U20s clashes against Wales, England and France on RTÉ Two.

Irish fans can hear full commentary on all of their country’s matches on all RTÉ Radio 1 platforms, FM, LW, DAB and online. RTÉ Radio 1’s Saturday Sport and Sunday Sport will offer live coverage and analysis at all five of Ireland’s RBS 6 Nations matches with simultaneous broadcasts on digital and online platforms. RTÉ Radio will also carry reports and updates on the other games with extensive previews, reviews, news and interviews throughout the tournament.

RTÉ Radio’s commentary team, Michael Corcoran, Donal Lenihan and Tony Ward, will be joined by former Irish internationals Alan Quinlan, Victor Costello and Hugo MacNeill analysing every ruck, tackle, maul and try. RTÉ Radio’s daily sports programmes and sports news bulletins will cover all the team announcements, breaking stories and other RBS 6 Nations news throughout the tournament with regular and extensive reaction from within the camp across the week on Morning Ireland and Drivetime programmes.

RTE.ie/SixNations will feature live text commentaries and tweets on every Six Nations match, on-demand video and audio, fixtures, tables and results, statistical analysis from Opta Stats and contributions from RTÉ’s rugby analysts and writers. There will also be live web-only coverage of Ireland’s U20 match against Italy (pending confirmation).
