Over 924,000* people chose to ring in the New Year with RTÉ Television on Saturday night.

The New Year’s Eve Show Live presented by Miriam O’Callaghan saw an average of 689,000** people watch the two hour programme which peaked with 924,000 viewers at midnight. The programme attracted 52%*** of viewers in Ireland who were watching television at the time.
Miriam was joined by a specially invited audience of 120 guests with many famous faces among the crowd. The live show also marked the beginning of RTÉ TV 50, celebrating the fiftieth anniversary of RTÉ TV.
