GARAGE DIRECTOR MARK O’HALLORAN TO PRESENT ARENA ON RTÉ RADIO 1

Tune into RTÉ Radio 1’s Arena from Tuesday 4 May at 7.30pm as award-winning Irish screenwriter and actor Mark O’Halloran swaps the director’s chair for the presenter’s chair as he sits in for Seán Rocks for the week.

As an actor, Mark has worked extensively at the Gate Theatre, Dublin, the Lyric Theatre in Belfast and the Druid Theatre Company, Galway among others. He has been praised as one of the most interesting writers working in Irish film today, with a singular and unique voice. His films have included the incredibly successful Adam and Paul and Garage, as well as the critically-acclaimed television series Prosperity. His play The Head of Red O’Brien was produced by RTÉ Radio Drama in 2003.

Mark has a selection of features and surprises lined up for Arena’s listeners including a performance from Belfast band The Beat Poets.

Arena is RTÉ Radio 1’s new arts and culture programme looks at what’s on in the world of arts and entertainment. Usually presented by Seán Rocks the programme features guests and items from the worlds of movies, television, music and literature.
