ONE REPUBLIC TO PRESENT CELEBRITY SUNDAY ON RTÉ 2FM
This Sunday 2 May Celebrity Sunday jumps to the other side of the Atlantic as multi million selling band One Republic take over the RTÉ 2fm airwaves from 5 – 7pm.
It’s the programme that has the world talking: Nicky Byrne’s Celebrity Sunday proved a worldwide smash on Twitter, trending as high as number 3 internationally as thousands of fans around the globe tuned in online. Since then, the likes of musician David Gray and music guru Louis Walsh have jumped in the hot seat and this week international superstars, One Republic, take over.
The band has sold millions of singles including Apologise with Timbaland, Stop and Stare, All The Right Moves and Secrets. Lead signer, Ryan Tedder is one of the most sought after song writers in the world, working with the likes of Beyonce, Leona Lewis, Kelly Clarkson and Rihanna. Tune in to hear what Ryan has to say about what’s it’s like working with all the biggest names in the industry and why Simon Cowell won’t stop phoning him.
Celebrity Sunday is a new strand of programmes on RTÉ 2fm where well-known lovers of music share their own personal mix-tape. Some more big names are set to appear over the next few months of 2010. The programme is one of several new shows on RTÉ 2fm, including The Tommy and Hector Show and Ballbusters with Andrew O’Connor and Jacqui Hurley.
