Dr Mark Hamilton from RTÉ’s award-winning “How Long Will You Live?” is continuing his mission to investigate Ireland’s health with a brand new 8-part series, “Health of the Nation”.
Enlisting the help of Dublin-based GP Dr Nina Byrnes, Mark travels around Ireland with a mobile surgery and welcomes in anyone who wants to get an instant diagnosis.
Filmed in Sligo, Cork, Limerick, Naas, Waterford, Dundalk, Galway and Longford the doctors meet people who need advice about a huge range of medical conditions; including fungal infections, bad backs, irritating coughs and aches and pains of all sorts. They’re in a different town every week and in each programme they focus on a particular health issue that has local relevance but is of universal concern.
When the clinic moves to Naas the clinic cases include a man needing diabetic advice, a student suffering panic attacks and a child with eczema. Stress is the focus of this week’s programme and the doctors set up a stress management clinic to run alongside the mobile surgery.
