RTÉ RÁDIO 1’s MOONEY AUCTIONS PAUL CUNNINGHAMS AFGHAN HAT
Today on RTÉ Radio 1’s Mooney the bidding closed for Paul Cunningham’s Afghan hat, first seen on the Nine O’ Clock News. The programme decided to auction the hat together with Dereck jumper on ebay to raise much needed funds for Goal in Haiti. Derek Mooney’s navy jumper was purchased by Tony Fitzpatrick of Fitzpatrick Menswear, Waterford and will be auctioned again with added donation of three Gant jumpers of any size and colour for the highest bidder from Tony’s store.
Paul’s Afghan hat was purchased by Jack Murray of Mediaexpress.ie who was already a member of the Facebook appreciation society “We love Paul Cunningham’s winter hat”
The auction has caused quite a buzz with Ryan Tubridy announcing this morning, on RTÉ Radio 1’s The Tubridy Show, that he would donate his Late Late Toy Show jumper for Goal in Haiti. It is currently fetching €510.00 and the bidding will close in 18hrs. Lisa O’Shea from Goal told Derek about Irish efforts to raise funds for Haiti. All proceeds from the auctions will be given to Goal to help their great work.
