SEASCAPES
They look spiky on the rocks at the sea’s edge, rolled into a ball, so that you would never think they could be an enticing seafood. But seven years ago Gerry Mouzakitis forecasted to Seascapes that he would develop a system through which they would become a delicacy that would be sought after internationally and could be grown successfully on a commercial basis in Ireland. Tonight, he tells the story of the Sea Urchin Aquaculture Company and the success of his aquaculture project in Cork.
