WBA Super Bantamweight World Champion Bernard Dunne makes the first defence of his title on Saturday, when he faces number one rated contender, Thailands Poonsawat Kratingdaenggym. Presenter Darragh Maloney will be joined live at The O2 in Dublin by special guests Andy Lee, Jim Rock and Mick Dowling for expert anaylsis of the Hunky Dorys World Title Fight Night.
Dunne returns to the scene of his sensational World title win in March when he took the title from Ricardo Cordoba. He faces another demanding night as he looks to repel the challenge of the Thai who boasts an impressive career that has seen him win all but one of his 39 professional fights, with 27 of those wins coming via KO. Unbeaten heavyweight sensation Tyson Fury will also make his Irish debut on the night. Fury only turned pro last December and standing 6’ 9” tall he is one of the most talked about heavyweight prospects in recent years having already racked up eight straight wins with seven of those coming via knockout.
