Confederations Cup – Sun 14th to Sun 28th Jun on RTÉ ONE and RTÉ TWO

Two weeks of international soccer action will be live on RTÉ Television as the Confederations Cup in South Africa kicks off on 14th June in what will no doubt be an exciting prelude to the country’s hosting of the 2010 World Cup. Darragh Maloney will anchor the action from all the games on RTÉ television and joining him for analysis and discussion throughout the tournament will be Ray Houghton and Ronnie Whelan.

The countries taking part will be Brazil, Italy, Spain, USA, New Zealand, South Africa, Iraq and Egypt:

Con Murphy presents the action from the third round of the FAI Cup weekend. Holders Bohemians are drawn at home in Dalymount Park against Munster Senior League team Mayfield United, and there are just two all-Premier Division clashes, with Shamrock Rovers set to host Drogheda United in their first FAI Cup match at the Tallaght Stadium and Cork City hosting Sligo Rovers at Turner’s Cross. Also featured will be the first Kerry team to qualify for the FAI Cup, Tralee Dynamos. Pat Morley and Damien Richardson join Con for discussion.
