Aisling’s Diary follows the life of an Irish American teenager, obsessed with Irish dance, as she returns with her family to live in Ireland and attempts to fit in.
Life isn’t easy for Aisling as the new girl in school and she faces tension at home as the move back from the US isn’t everything the family had dreamed of. It also doesn’t help that Aisling falls for the hip-hop ‘bad’ boy who lives next door – will she ever find a way to fit in and just ‘be’ herself?
The series features music from indie Irish bands including Distractors, The Kinetiks and Calvin Scully as well as young up-and-coming acts such as KVX.
In addition to the bite size 40 x 3 minute episodes (broadcast Monday – Friday on RTÉ Two) viewers will also get a chance to watch a weekly recap on Saturday mornings and to discover more about Aisling’s world on-line.
There is a strong online presence with exclusive interviews, blogs and streamed content on www.rte.ie/ttv/aislingsdiary and www.bebo.com/AislingsDiary.
The series is produced for RTÉ Young Peoples by CR Entertainment, the makers of the Bebo hit series “Sofia’s Diary.”
